How are you old blood? It is odd to write to you without you here. You have been extracted from within and shipped away and still I seek in-sight, though you can see me no longer. You lurk only in my subconscious. You prey upon my mind and inform my fantastic dreams more than the words and visions of any waking hour. Enchanté Queen Mab.
May I ask of you, dear reader-
Do you grow into the Ego?

imp-piqued.
Of late the internal has invaded and physicalities cease to be. While the body struts the stage, the poor player that it is, the psyched puppeteer is amused by the farce.
But living in my mind has made me self-obsessed, so let me turn to you
my dearest double- you.
I mimic you in your absence. I conjure you up within me asleep and revert to you with those I love, like I cannot when I am awake. Just yesterday I spoke/smoked with Anju. It is bizarre to share your company now with the descendant of discipline’s stalwart. My need to break away with those who I love but will never understand me? And the day before, I was in the flat. You, me and Zee. First cigarette simulation? To be with friends who grow into you.
We will meet very soon. Chilla Numero Uno and you and me, dear W.

Wow this is amazing! It is such inspired and (trippy) GOOD writing...the graphics are first rate and trippy, staying true to the heart. So chiller-esque!
ReplyDeleteMy comment is that I think that the existence of the ego and the alter ego is necessary for spiritual growth, growth of the deep soul into a "double consciousness" - and I think that instead of dismissing the ego that existed before sans the alter ego, one should ask themselves the question, what was that fragment of me brought here to teach me? I say this because as students of life we have the blessing of possessing a most wondrous thing: we can evolve and still maintain a certain core of lessons learnt through the stages, through the passing egos.
I think egos that existed before, that still exist and alter egos that come and go do so to teach us something about ourselves and our spiritual side - clear perspective of the universe. And all worth our reflection and insight for connection with a higher intelligence, a more profound life for us to live in all integrity.

ReplyDeleteThat's exactly my point. Our past selves and relationships have fused into our subconscious and are now part of our base instinct. W unites them with us now and those around us so that there is an internal and external mirroring in the moment and we have "perspective". The surreality of it continues even in the deepest sobriety.
